This project completed beach nourishment on a Gulf shore to repair the damage from Hurricane Harvey to approximately 1,850 feet of Gulf shoreline at Quintana-Bryan Beach.

The University of Texas at Austin will conduct coastwide monitoring to include aerial mapping (Tier 1), periodic rapid assessments (Tier 2), & intensive, site-based research (Tier 3) to better understand seagrass health, productivity, and stressors.
The University of Houston will measure the impacts of major storms on coastal erosion in the Texas Gulf Coast.
This project will construct 1,500 linear feet of breakwaters for shoreline protection on the southwest side of Indian Point and restore approximately 670 square feet of sandy beach.
The City of South Padre Island will construct a permanent restroom and install an ADA compliant ramp for the ingress and egress of the walkover.
The University of Texas at Austin, Bureau of Economic Geology will work with students and teachers to gain a better understanding of dune and beach dynamics.
