Volunteers Remove Over 50,000 Pounds of Trash from Texas Coast

This past weekend, more than 4,000 volunteers gathered at 23 sites along the Texas coastline to participate in the 2022 Adopt-A-Beach Spring Cleanup. A total of 51,087 pounds of trash was removed from the Texas coast during the event which took place on Saturday, April 9.

General Land Office Awards $10 Million For Coastal Preservation Projects

Coastal Management Program

Land Commissioner George P. Bush today announced $1.74 million for projects to improve public beach access and help restore sensitive bay systems on the Texas coast."These projects were carefully selected to be a good investment for the Texas coast," Bush said.
