Today, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D. announced the results of the Port Isabel and South Padre Island (SPI) Vessel Turn-In Program (VTIP) that took place on January 18-20, 2024.

This past weekend, more than 4,000 volunteers gathered at 23 sites along the Texas coastline to participate in the 2022 Adopt-A-Beach Spring Cleanup. A total of 51,087 pounds of trash was removed from the Texas coast during the event which took place on Saturday, April 9.

The Texas General Land Office (GLO) has awarded $10 million for projects across nine coastal counties through its Coastal Management Program (CMP) Grant Cycle 27.
