The Aransas County Lamar Beach project will conduct shoreline restoration and planting components to stabilize the soil, help absorb low-energy waves, and provide new habitat conditions. The planting will establish approximately 1.1 acres of new marsh vegetation along approximately 3,600 linear feet of shoreline along Lamar Beach Road. Will cover data collection, preliminary design and permitting.
The objective of this project is to design and implement the shoreline protection and restoration of the bird nesting ridge and intertidal marsh complex in Dickinson Bay to prevent continued erosion and habitat loss. Project components include an approximately 6,500 linear foot graded rock breakwater, placement of material for the restoration of the 5,000 linear foot nesting ridge, and an estimated 12 acres of marsh.

Cameron County seeks to continue its partnership with the Texas General Land Office and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to nourish the beach at Isla Blanca Park further. The proposed project area spans approximately 4,858 linear feet.
This proposal seeks funding to construct 3 segments of nature-based, shoreline protection structures totaling approximately 1.74 miles (9,173 LF) to prevent marsh loss, restore emergent marsh along the shoreline, and create oyster habitat in East Bay adjacent to Moody NWR in Chambers County, Texas (see attached maps).
