This project, Phase 1, initiated development of a restoration plan for Oliver Point and Oliver Reef and build a nearshore breakwater to protect 6,500 linear feet of shoreline and 5,200 linear feet of reef that will crown at or near Mean High Water.
The project entailed 3,400 linear feet of shoreline protection in the form of breakwaters around a bird rookery island. The system will include 9 breakwater segments of various lengths between 175 to 1,050 feet in length.
