This study conducted Region 1 and 4 Longshore Transport Modeling to identify the sand transport pathways, sand transport rates and define the littoral cells and associated sediment budget for sand and other sediments along the Texas Gulf facing beaches.

This project analyzed and modeled the sediment transport and provided a base model that can be used to evaluate sediment distribution and determine areas and rates of sediment loss due to erosion in response to natural events and development scenarios.
The GLO, in partnership with Ducks Unlimited, constructed rock breakwaters along the GIWW adjacent to the Sargent Unit and Cedar Lakes areas of the San Bernard NWR.
