The City of Port Lavaca constructed approximately 150 linear feet of new public fishing pier to begin closing the gap between the landward end of the Port Lavaca Causeway Fishing Pier and the pier section that was isolated by a fire in 2003.
The Texas General Land Office's Survey Sciences Division conducted a pro bono Costal Boundary Survey in preparation for the implementation of a living shoreline on state owned submerged land to protect a portion of San Patricio County Road 2250.
Texas A&M University at Galveston obtained the bottom profile from the 12-ft. (4m) to 30-ft. (10m) depth in the identified survey area off of Galveston Island.
The Lower-Colorado River Authority constructed six picnic pavilions and a directional/interpretive kiosk at Matagorda County Jetty Park, where the Colorado River channel enters the Gulf of Mexico.
