Bush announced the Texas General Land Office (GLO) approved $4,746,977 in Hurricane Harvey funds for Polk County to conduct a buyout program targeting approximately 50 homes most vulnerable to flooding. The Texas General Land Office's (GLO) is encouraging potential applicants for the Homeowner Assistance Program and Homeowner Reimbursement Program to finalize and submit draft applications before the December 31, 2019, deadline. EVIDENCE OF BURIALS DISCOVERED IN MONKS BURIAL ROOM AND NAVE OF ALAMO CHURCH
Today, the Texas General Land Office (GLO) and the Alamo Mission Archaeological Advisory Committee released statements following the identification of three burials during archeological exploration of the Monks Burial Room and Nave of the Alamo Church. The purpose of archeology inside and around the Alamo Church and Long Barrack is to install moisture monitoring equipment as well as locate and document the foundations of the 300 year old structures.
