Richard Watkins, a native Texan, enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps in 1956. He served in small arms and as a police officer at Camp Pendleton and Camp Butler in Okinawa until 1960. Mr. Watkins now resides at the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas.
