Oral History: Washington, Carla

Carla Washington joined the U.S. Army in 2000. She was in Human Resources and spent the last six years as an Army Recruiter. She was stationed worldwide in Oklahoma, Germany, and Colorado and had tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Mrs. Washington appreciated the USO while deployed. She was able to get a recorded reading of books to her kids, and they were mailed out free of charge. My kids had the opportunity to read along with me. That was very special. Mrs. Washington retired from the Army in 2020 and is now a Realtor.
