Oral History: Vinson, Corby

Corby Vinson joined the U.S. Army in 1993 in Air Defense as a Stinger Gunner and was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Oahu, Hawaii. He had a deployment to Haiti for Operation Uphold Democracy and then left the Army in 1996. In 2003, Mr. Vinson re-enlisted in the Army and became a Cavalry Scout. He had three deployments to Iraq in 2004, 2006, and 2009. In 2010, he left the military and became a CNA. Mr. Vinson is now the admissions director at the William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home in Temple, Texas.
