George Speranza served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945.
George Speranza was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1943. He
saw action in the Pacific and took part in the Battle of Okinawa as an infantryman with the 381st Infantry Regiment 96th Infantry Division. After he was discharged Mr. Speranza attended SMU where he received his PhD in Chemistry. He now resides in Austin, Texas.
