Oral History: Smith, Heather

Heather Smith joined the U.S. Army in 2005 and worked on OH-58 and CH-47 helicopters as an aircraft electrician. In 2007 Mrs. Smith was deployed to Afghanistan for a year, and in 2009, she retired from the U.S. Army. As a way for her to give back to her Veteran community, she joined an organization called Disgruntled Vets, which helps Veterans in crisis and provides support and resources. Mrs. Smith now resides in Quinlan, Texas.
