George Padilla was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1967. He was a 71Q Information Specialist and assisted in public affairs. He served in Korea for a year and was able to interview Officers about situations happening near the DMZ daily. Mr. Padilla would also interview soldiers and send their recordings back to the States to be played on their hometown radio shows for families to hear. He even had the opportunity to interview Bob Hope while in Korea. Mr. Padilla left the Army in 1970, stayed in the broadcasting journalism field, and resides in Dallas, Texas.
