Col. Jack Oliver served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and later the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1972. He was a pilot of numerous aircraft, took part in combat in WWII, and later served in the clandestine satellite and skunk works programs out of Vandenburg Air Force Base.
