Clifford Moseley was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1944 and went through training at Camp Fannin in Tyler, Texas. He served with the 3rd Infantry Division in Italy and in the Invasion of Southern France. On September 15, 1944, Mr. Moseley was captured by the Germans and spent time at Stalag 7-A Prisoner of War Camp and was liberated on April 28, 1945. For his heroic service, Mr. Moseley received the Bronze Star. After serving in the Army, he became the Commander of VFW Post 3984 in Jacksonville, Texas. Mr. Moseley now resides at the Watkins Logan Texas State Veterans Home in Tyler, Texas.
