Johnny McNeil joined the U.S. Army in 1970. He served as a combat medic and a medical NCO during the Vietnam War, the Invasion of Panama, and Desert Storm and spent time in California, Germany, Panama, South Carolina, and Texas. In 1992, Mr. McNeil retired from the Army as an E-7. He went on to become a senior correction officer for Travis County. He now resides in Kingsbury, Texas.
