Jack Maroney served on the USS Enterprise from 1943 to 1945 during World War II.
Jack Maroney was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1943 and served as a 20-mm gunner on the USS Enterprise CV-6 until 1945. The Enterprise received 20 battle stars in the Pacific theater during World War II. Mr. Maroney participated in 12 of those naval engagements. Mr. Maroney became an attorney in 1957 and still practices law in Austin, Texas.
