Oral History: Lavelle, John

John Lavelle joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965 as a Communications Officer. In 1978 he graduated from medical school and specialized in anesthesiology and emergency medicine. He served as Chief of Flight Medicine and retired from the Air Force Reserves in 1983. After leaving the military, "Doc" continued emergency medicine until 2019. He now resides at the Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home in Amarillo, Texas.
