Floyd Jackson was a Private First Class in the US Army. He served as a machine gunner with the 44th Infantry Division during WWII in Europe. Mr. Jackson landed at Normandy just a few days after D-Day. He was later wounded in combat near the Rhein river and received the Purple Heart.
