Mr. Holmes served as a Tech Sgt in the US Army Air Corps during WWII from 1941-1945. He took part in the Battle of the Bulge and was later shot down over Budapest, Hungary. Held as a P.O.W. by the Nazis until he was finally freed towards the end of the war, Mr. Holmes is a native of Tyler, TX.
