Mr. Viggo Gruy of Beeville, TX. Served as a 2nd Lt and later a 1st Lt in the US Army during WWII. Fought in Europe with the 814th Tank Destroyer Battalion as a tank destroyer commander. Took part in the end of the Normandy invasion. Was awarded a Silver Star for his service during the war.
