Oral History: Garrett, Danny

Danny Garrett served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. He served with the 1st Battalion, 20th Infantry 11th Light Infantry Brigade during Vietnam from 1969 to 1970 as a Forward Observer. In 1970, Mr. Garrett moved to Austin, Texas, where he began doing posters for Armadillo World Headquarters, Castle Creek, Antone's and, many other music venues. In early 2020 a documentary called "The Poster Boy's" will be coming out and will feature Mr. Garrett talking about his experience in Vietnam and his art. Mr. Garrett now resides in San Marco's Texas.
