Gerald Counts was a paratrooper with the C Company of the 506th in the 101st Airborne. He served from May 1943 through October 19, 1945 and took part in the Normandy invasion, the Battle of the Bulge, and was later a P.O.W. He left the Army as a sergeant and now resides in Runaway Bay, Texas.
