Kevin Collins enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1996. He became a Logistics and Civil Affairs officer and, in 2010, was deployed to Afghanistan. He also served in Japan, Thailand, Hawaii, and the Philippines. Mr. Collins is now a high school teacher and resides in Austin, Texas.
