Allen Clark of Dallas, TX graduated from West Point and was serving as a captain in the U.S. Army Special Forces in Vietnam when he was wounded. He lost both of his legs to a mortar shell and was awarded the Purple Heart for his wounds and a Silver Star for his heroism.
He later was a successful businessman and ran for treasurer of Texas in 1982.
He has written a book entitled Wounded Soldier, Healing Warrior and has appeared on Larry King Live. He now runs a lay ministry website at CombatFaith.com.
