Paula Bushon joined the U.S. Army National Guard in late 1973. In 1974 she went full-time Army and became an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist and was stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Ms. Bushon traveled with President Carter and other presidential candidates during her time in the service. Ms. Bushon left the Army in 1976 and now resides in Arlington, Texas.
