Rene Avendano served in the U.S. Marine Corps fom 1988 to 2012.
Rene Avendano a native of Pharr, Texas joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in 1988. He served as an infantryman, a translator and was once the driver for General Michael J. Aguilar. Mr. Avendano saw extensive action during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He is now retired from the U.S. Marine Corps and resides in Edinburg, Texas.
