Genevieve Thomas joined the U.S. Army in 1950. She served one tour in Korea, with the MASH Unit 8209th - originally 1st MASH as a nurse. Ms. Thomas now resides at the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in Floresville, Texas.
