Dallas Shannon served as an officer in the Army infantry from 1940 through 1962. He saw action in the Aleutian Islands during WWII and in Korea during the Korean War. Originally from Tennesse, Shannon earned a Silver Star, left the service as a major, and now resides in Temple, TX.
