Robert Senff, a native of Pflugerville, Texas, served in the U.S. Army during the end of WWII, but did not leave the states until hostilities had ceased. He later joined the U.S. Air Force Reserve and retired from Bergstrom AFB after 20 years of service. He is well known for competing in BBQ cooking contests.
