Tom Ross enlisted into the U.S. Marine Corps in 1966. He worked as a structural mechanic on the RF-4B Phantoms and made several trips back in forth to Vietnam until he left the service in 1970. After his military service, Mr. Ross became a technical writer. He now resides at the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas.
