Mario Ornelas joined the U.S. Army as an infantryman and served a tour in Vietnam with B Company 53rd signal. He then transferred over to supply and spent the next sixteen years as a supply sergeant in Fort Riley, Kansas, and retiring in 1985. Mr. Ornelas now lives at the Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home in El Paso, Texas.
