Johnnie Marino, a resident of Houston, Texas, joined the U.S. Army in 1941. He saw combat in the Normandy Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge. Mr. Marino was among the Allied troops who discovered and liberated the Jewish concentration camps in Hadamar and Belsen, Germany at the end of World War II.
