Robert Lannerd joined the U.S. Army in 1962. In 1964 he was sent to Vietnam with the 121
st Aviation Company to Soc Trang as an Aviation Helicopter Mechanic. Upon returning from Vietnam in 1965, Mr. Lannerd worked as a civilian mechanic and was involved with the Helicopter Association International. Mr. Lannerd now resides at the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham, Texas.
