Alfonso C. Gorena served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946.
Alfonso C. Gorena was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1942. He served as a Surgical Technician for one year at the 61st General Hospital in Oxford, England. After leaving the service in 1946, Mr. Gorena worked for the Monitor newspaper, ran his own print shop and then retired from Edinburg High School. He now resides at the Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home in McAllen, Texas.
