Edgar Goebel served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and later the USAF from August 1939 through August 1968. He started as an enlisted mechanic on B-29s and retired as a Captain after seeing action in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He now resides in Austin, Texas.
