Mr. Garcia served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1953.
Benjamin Garcia, a native from La Paloma, Texas, was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1950. He served with the 40th Infantry Division and saw action in Korea. Mr. Garcia also participated in the U.S. Atmospheric Nuclear Weapons tests conducted in the early 1950s in Nevada. He now resides at the Ambrosio Guillen Texas State Veterans Home in El Paso, Texas.
