Kevin Frenzel, a native of Texas, joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1977. He served as a small boat coxswain and a boatswain's mate petty officer. Mr. Frenzel worked on oil spill responses, tracking drug runners, rescuing swimmers, and searching cargo ships. He left the Coast Guard in 1981 and studied Geology at the University of Texas in Austin. He now works at the Texas General Land Office in Coastal Resources in the Coastal Erosion Planning and Response Act (CEPRA) program.
