Robert Davenport served as an aerial refueler in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Stationed at Tinian and Saipan, he took part in fueling the Enola Gay before her fateful bombing mission. Davenport also spent six weeks as a temporary gunner on a B-24. He is now a preacher and lives in Laguna Park, Texas.
