Jack Carothers served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1945.
Jack Carothers a native Texan, joined the U.S. Army in 1944 at the age of 18. He served with the 357th Regiment, 90th Infantry Division in Rhineland, during the hard winter of 1945. In 1949 Mr. Carothers received a VLB Land Loan, where he purchased 313 acres in west Texas. He now resides at the Lamun Lusk Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home.
