AUSTIN, Texas— Today, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D., encourages Texans to sign up to participate in the Texas General Land Office's (GLO) 2025 Adopt-A-Beach Spring Coastwide Cleanup on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 21 locations on beautiful Texas beaches from Sea Rim State Park to Boca Chica.
"As a Texan who spent over a decade living on the Texas coast, keeping our beaches clean for visitors, coastal communities, and marine wildlife is one of my top priorities," said Commissioner Buckingham. "The Adopt-A-Beach Spring Coastwide Cleanup is one of the most significant chances for volunteers to visit our beaches and make a difference. Last spring, our phenomenal volunteers removed over 29 tons of trash from the coast! I invite Texans and beachgoers across the country to participate in this year's cleanup and help ensure an even brighter future for the Texas coast."
