West Galveston Island, Spanish Grant-Beach Nourishment

Project Description

This project included design and permitting to nourish 7,500 feet of shoreline seaward of the Sands of Kahala, Hershey Beach, Spanish Grant, Sunny Beach, and Bermuda Beach subdivisions and the West Beach Grand and Riviera I & II condominiums. Due to limited funding, the nourishment was essentially a thin veneer rather than a full beach fill placement.
