Project Description
The Grantee will use Coastal Management Program Cycle 29 Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA) funds to (1) develop a comprehensive data inventory of existing coastal hydrologic monitoring activities and stations, (2) conduct data gap analysis and field surveys to determine additional needs for monitoring data and existing station enhancements, (3) develop an interactive web map, and (4) develop recommendations for monitoring data, existing network and station infrastructure enhancement along key areas of the Texas coast, and establishment and maintenance of a LTCHMP through a stakeholder-driven process. A Stakeholder Workgroup consisting of expert data collectors and end users will be established in addition to workshops to engage coastal stakeholders in determining the needs, objectives, design, and environmental parameters for a cost-effective, sustainable, and resilient LTCHMP.
