Establishing a Coastal Bend Lab for Enhanced Water Quality Monitoring

Project Description

Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi will establish a new laboratory in Corpus Christi, equipped with advanced water quality testing equipment and staffed with trained personnel. Subrecipient will purchase equipment that can measure (1) Enterococcus levels (2) E. coli levels, and (3) complete E. coli source tracking. Once the equipment is purchased, Subrecipient will ensure staff are trained to use and maintain the equipment. Additionally, Subrecipient will collect samples in tandem with Texas Beach Watch (TBW) to ensure the equipment is calibrated correctly. Subrecipient will develop an approved Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP), will adhere to all TBW quality assurance/quality control requirements, and have the necessary documentation to demonstrate compliance. Subrecipient will also complete E. coli source tracking for TBW.
