Chambers County Beach Clean-up Project

Project Description

Chambers County rely on the proper guidance from various volunteer organizations and participate in the "Adopt-A-Beach" program twice a year. A set of basic technical guidelines were compiled regarding the proper beach cleaning techniques. The initial clean up of the beach required a roll-off container, a tractor with a front-end loader attachment, trash bags, hand rakes, and labor. The Chambers County Sheriff's Office agreed to provide a portion of the labor for the initial clean up and work with the Chambers County Parks Department for regular maintenance. All garbage and waste was sent to the Chambers County Resource Recovery and Recycling Center for incineration under the direction of Chambers County Solid Waste Department.
