Bush announced $45,980,638 in disaster recovery funds to rehabilitate, reconstruct and construct affordable multi-family rental housing damaged by Hurricane Harvey. Today Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush announced the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved an amendment awarding $8 million in additional Community Development Block Grants for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds for a buyout program in Harris County for repeatedly flooded homes. The funds are being awarded to Harris County from HUD's first allocation $57.8 million in CDBG-DR funds after Hurricane Harvey. The Alamo Announces Second Alamo Roadshow
The Alamo will hit the road on Tuesday, July 10 for the second installment of the Alamo Roadshow. The first Alamo Roadshow visited 10 cities in April, ranging from Abilene to Laredo. The roadshow will stop in three cities, inviting Texans to learn about the ongoing preservation work happening at the state’s most well-known historic site.
