Commissioner Buckingham Announces Applications for Exhibitors to Participate in Big Country Veterans Expo in Abilene Are Now Open

AUSTIN, Texas— Today, Texas Land Commissioner and Veterans Land Board (VLB) Chairwoman Dawn Buckingham, M.D., announced that registration is now open for exhibitors interested in participating in the upcoming Big Country Abilene Veterans Benefits Expo on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The Abilene Veterans Benefits Expo provides resources, food, and fun for all Veterans, military members, and their families.

This event is co-hosted by the Texas Veterans Land Board and the Texas Veterans Commission. It is open to all current military members, veterans, and their families.

This is an excellent opportunity for your organization to reach hundreds of military families in the Abilene and surrounding areas. Do not miss out on this one-of-a-kind event, full of resources, camaraderie, and food trucks!

The registration deadline is April 30, 2026. There are only 40 tables available to register. Please only register your organization once.


All exhibitors will provide their own tablecloth (tables will be 8ft), resources to pass out, and must be set up by 8:30 AM on May 16, 2026. Please provide a cell phone and work phone number because some information may be distributed by text message up to the day of the event.

Note: All exhibitors can bring up to two (2) people per table. If you need to bring more than the maximum number of people allowed, please email Glen Pugh with the GLO at glen.pugh@glo.texas.gov or Trey Hubbard with the TVC at treymayne.hubbard@tvc.texas.gov.
